1/144 B-17 Spotted Cow

A bit behind, but that's the way it goes. I finally finished my repaint of Bruno's (Scissors and Planes) B-17.

B-17F, 42-3441, was part of the replacement squadron for the 384th Bomb Group.
Formerly known as "Patches 2", the aircraft was retired from combat and painted as the assembly aircraft for the 384th.

Rescaling the kit down to 1/144, gives a wingspan of 8.65 inches. I started with the engine fronts,
utilizing the optional cylinders. This followed with the nacelles, and major airframe assemblies.

From here, nothing special in the construction. Pictures show this
aircraft without turrets, so that is how I modeled it. Turrets are
included for modeling the aircraft with turrets.

Except the propeller construction. Four props, four alignment jigs. Just seemed to make sense to do them all at once.

And the finished construction.

And, 661. Someone will ask!
