Resuming the generic small shops project, I made thirty of them during the last week but I couldn't stand the temptation to made them as different and individualized as possible. And finally I felt tired with the too quick work so I begun to design more sophisticated and specialized shops. For the moment I made the 31st and 32nd and these are fresh seafood stores, very popular and necessary element of any Japanese community. They are often decorated with the maritime ornaments, images of the edible species of the fishes, octopuses or crustaceans, and sometimes with the really big 3D models of the same animals, sometimes making even the brand logotype in form of such model (starting from the huge crab of Kani Doraku restaurant in Osaka in early 1960s). So I decided to follow the idea, creating the 2D fish and 3D shrimp (1 cm long, which is maybe too small for the big empty space of the facade - I feel I overdid the scaling down this time).

So now I will begin adding images to the Nekomura gallery starting with these two shops. The first, small and older building...
