Well, it's not Christmas, it's not even close... anyway, here it is!
A wonderful lamp (not because
I built it
), I enjoyed so much building it. A very nice Pino's creation.
Some notes:
- thanks to Philip I "discovered" the alcoholic glue (like UHU Power), it really does not warp the paper!!! Laminating it's cool! But I have to pay very attention not to overflow the margins, because it dirties more than PVA.
- I reinforced the internals as Styrian does with his architectural building.
- I had to print two more squares, missing in the original template, unless Pino wanted an open top. The 240 gsm paper I used is not enough to maintain the necessary strength. The LED light bulb I chose does not heat up so much.
- I weighed a little the base, to prevent the electric cord flexibility overturning the lamp.
- I tied the cut cotton sheath with common whippings to prevent it from fraying.
- It would have been better to insert a cardboard stanchion inside the base through the stem, because the base/stem junction is quite weak (I didn't do it).
