In some ways this is solved by so much of the nose being glazed without framing, which would be a vacform or heat moulded part and therefore avoids the design needing to use petals or slices. As long as the skin had enough thickness to bond to the clear plastic with superglue, a pretty realistic profile could be designed in this scale with enough slice sections. The only issue is the shape of the side windows, which might require the sections to be divided at an angle other than vertical.
