If I use tissue paper to cover a model that I've built up on a skeletal frame does this still count as a paper model?
It's just that I make flying models and I'd like to have a go at making a model using the same technique's but using card for the frame.

Yes, it qualifies! Tissue paper or silk span is just a form of paper.

I've tried to do it in the past, big balsa / tissue builder many years ago.

Getting the tissue tight is the problem. Humidity day to day gave it a different look, sagging wings, wrinkles. Can't spray with water to tighten....Doping warps everything.

Only tried it a couple of times, you might have some different ideas on how to accomplish, just letting you know what I ran into.

Good Luck!

Hoping to see a final project.
