Rocket

I think this only the second time I've ventured into Railways.

You will note that it is quite a basic model and at 9 inches tall, one of the biggest.

I usually keep away from kits that say "Build your Own...." but this one scratched a couple of my itches.

I'm interested in vintage steam things like Rocket and fairground attractions
I was also looking for something on a big scale - my earlier model is quite small (More in a different thread soon). Finally I have been watching a television "behind the scenes" series at Hornby models - one of the biggest makers of model trains.

The parts fit is good and the instructions are very clear and I must admit that I like the size. It is a good companion for my Micromodel version of the train.

BTW does anyone know if other trains from this period (the Rainhill trains and Lion) etc?

So, here it is. It's nothing special but I'm happy with the finished article

Cheers
Mike
