SIG is still in business. Has been since 1951 when the late Glen Sigafoose started to import and process high quality balsawood. He then continued his company by selling high quality flying models accessories and after some years started to make balsa kits after purchasing Berkeley Models from Fox model engine company. A small piece of modelling history. Together with Guillows, both companies are the oldest surviving model aircraft kits manufacturers and both have always been on the same site. Guillows founded 1926 in Wakefield Mass and SIG in Montezuma Iowa, both in the United States of America.
