Fitting the Vertical Tail


I glued the former in place allowing enough room for the connecting strip (you'll see soon)
You can also see how you have to curve the lower part.




Then attach the other side, mating up the bottom curve and gluing all around the edge.
I also flared out the leading portion of the stabilizer which fits over the top of the fuselage.




Look cmags! edge gluing!!!




Another angle shows all the built in curves that you must achieve to get it to fit over the fuselage.
I also added a small joiner to strengthen the connection in the lower seam. It made it a little thick, but I didn't want the seam to separate.




and this picture shows you that "connecting strip" I mentioned earlier.
There is a strip included in the kit...I forgot to print it...so I just made up this fuselage extension which will insert into the Vertical Tail.
(The fuselage end is still quite rounded in this pic, you have to squish it almost flat to make it fit the Tail section)
