Made some more progress yesterday. I glued a series of tabs to the wing center section to give the fuselage something to glue to which seemed to work pretty well-but I ended up with a 2mm gap at the front. Poor planning on my part,I should have left the gap at the back where it would have been covered by the fillet. Speaking of fillets,back when I built stick and tissue models I could never get those right and,sadly,I still can't. They look ok but I'll have to go back and patch the front and rear parts.
I'm also getting an idea of how HUGE this thing is. I seem to have plunged ahead without regard to where I'll display it. Oh well.
