I always recommend that newbies peruse the Canon site for something to start on. These are excellent quality, easy to follow instructions and FREE!

You need a good pair of Fiskars scissors, tweezers, a bottle of Aleen's Tacky Glue, a package of 110 pound card stock, a ruler, and a BIC pen that has run out of ink, all of which can be purchased at Walmart for a few bucks.

The BIC pen is for scribing the fold lines so that they bend crisply and easily.

The tweezers are for gluing small, fiddly, or hard-to-reach parts.

The cardstock is what you print the model on.

You will get lots of advice and suggestions on tools and materials. They are all good. We are privileged here with many great modelers. My advice takes you to one store and gets you into modeling very quickly.

Build something!

Then, show us some pictures!
