I bought one of the Doc Savage collection books to read on vacation and it has a full page print of the Steranko drawing of the Superfirer. The two pages before it has an article talking about the gun had how no two artists have drawn it the same. It also is described differently in several Doc Savage stories. The article also explains the different ammos used and that its closer to a 22 in size. I like Steranko's drawing but it reminds me a lot of the Steranko designed Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. needle gun from the 1960s.

I used to love Doc Savage Novels. Why aren't we talking about a cardmodel?

I'm trying to find some existing models that I can use to make one from, but so far I haven't found too much. I'm still doing research.

That's one franchise that I'd like to see done properly as an action adventure movie.

The one with Ron Ely that they made in the 70s was too much like the 1966 Batman TV show. I read a couple of years ago that the director of the first 3 Spiderman movies had bought the rights to Doc Savage, The Avenger, and the Shadow. Never heard anything else after that. I'd love to see a Doc movie set in the original time period. DC comics tried to update him to current time and I just didn't have the charm of the original story.

Errr...just how would that feed the rounds from both magazines, the chambers would be in different locations. Afraid that I can't quite suspend my disbelief that much.
