Little progress, rear part seems to be finished (but unfortunately you can not see it in render type image). I am talking about pink / light brown parts...

I can start to think how to create 1mm cardboard skeleton.

Hello to all,
I have created first parts of 1mm skeleton. There will be more - lower part of wing skeleton (nearly identic than the upper one), skeleton for rear part together with vertical wings and front part skeleton.

And just for your info - according to 3D model and analysing tools in Rhino, whole model would be 34 cm wide and 29 cm long.

Stay tuned for more happy days!

Hello to all,
I know, that after this post, some of you are going to hate me These pictures show all parts of 1mm cardboard skeleton - believe me, this is going to be tough model to build.

Stay tuned for more happy days!

Looks really nice. Looks like your putting enough detail into this to scale it up a couple of times. I guessing that the 34cm x 29cm sizes are going to be printed on A4/letter card?

A4 is too small for the main parts - wings. 34 cm are to long for A4 (29,7cm x 21,0cm). So, the main frame will be printed on A3.

I agree. Good internal structures are a really cool thing to have. I look forward to this one.
