BatWing '89 / 1:32 / Ing. Spendlik

Hi to all,
after closing JetBike project, it is time to come up with the current sci-fi project I am working on. It is a BatWing from motion picture Batman (1989, director Tim Burton, in the role of Batman - Michael Keaton). These are just two renders - 3D model is on 90% finished. Hope you like it. Any comments, critics, recommendations are welcome

I have to build whole interior of BatWing, rear part and than I can start creating main 1mm cardboard skeleton. To be clear, I am not going to create front "hook" for catching baloons (as seen in movie) or landing gear (I saw one or two images of Batwing with landing gear on DeviantArt). Still considering that I will add open shield with vulcan cannon on the right side (like in the movie), some kind of a stand and it would be great to have small Batman in the cockpit. Please, wish me luck to finished this within few months (I do not want to copy the history of JetBike - three years are toooo much).

Great! This is one model that I was thinking of scratch building last year. I will look forward to this build. I have so many models that I want to build and then this one comes up. Thanks for your efforts and I hope that you do not run into too many fit problems.

you choose great items to model. this one looks really fantastic. did you learn this skill as a hobby or is it job related. i am curious how you make this process happen in the 3d modeling.

you have made a fantastic looking 3d model.

i wish i had skills to do things like that.

thank you for your efforts in paper modeling.

That's some sharp work there. Looks like it's going to be a complex model.

Very COOL! I've always loved the 1989 Batwing and the animated Batwing. I'll be watching for updates on this.

I remember seeing another designer start to develop the Batwing that never saw final completion and release. I hope that you can bring this project to a successful conclusion as I certainly want one to add to the collection. Good luck.

Working on the back parts. On every model, there are parts, which makes you angry everytime you just look at it. The problem is, that in paper modeling, it is not about looking, but about designing - so your anger is multiplying. And for this model, back parts are the winners! But I am fighting, hope I will end these parts till the end of the week...
