Sorry to hear. All the best for the recovery ahead.

Awesome build, absolutely staggering.

Thank you for your well wishes, gentlemen.

Well... I've hit a snag. Two snags, to be precise. One major, one minor.

The minor snag is that the bulkhead area is taking a hellalotta weight and the foamcore I used in that area is buckling. So.... that's gonna have to be redone with stronger materials.

Which leads us to the major snag:

As I built more and more decks, the front view (looking straight onto the deflector dish) began to look... wrong. Enlongated on the Z axis.

Care to guess the problem?

If you guessed wall height, you nailed it in one. ALL of the walls I've installed are roughly 1/8 to 1/4" too high. Soooooooo.... guess what needs to be cut down or redone?

Yup.

However, this will give me an opportunity to correct some other errors along the way.

So, I'll be making the alterations and then posting pics in my next update. Sorry for the delay, faithful readers.

Looking forward to the pics. I'm glad you caught it now, rather than closer to the end of the build.

YES! You must continue! I've heard many people make many plans to do this. To the best of my knowledge, you are the only one who's ever actually made the attempt. History in the making. Keep going!

...and post photos!
