Thanks Miles and others. As you guessed 'real life' intervened and caused the pause but I'll be back soon. All is well and we can continue in a moment. Thanks again for your concern.

Spring Thaw?...,
Terve Tapcho!
The winter in the Northern Hemisphere has many doubting that global warming is a problem. In Alaska, Spring's arrival is heralded by an event known as the "breakup" - the sudden breakup and flow of the river ice. It's one really big event there. The only "breakup" I can find for Finland has to do with the Euro - yes, I know, "no wonder the rivers are still frozen there". In the same vein we've all been waiting for "Tapcho's spring thaw" to occur, so progress on "The Flying Ship" as inspired by Ian McQue can progress..., Sorry if this sounds pushy - because it is..., Bien Cordialement, +Gil |

A beaten dented barrel might suite as deck prop. We’ll see. 🙂

I needed some corrugated sheet for the cabin decoration and I made one. I taped some round metal pegs on the cutting board, moistened the paper sheet and then shaped it between the pegs with a blunt object. Once you make one pass turn the paper around and work those ’walleys’ you just created. Three or four times on each side. Works well and holds the form.

Very nice solution. I've seen others dampen corrugated cardboard and remove the outer sheets of paper, but this is so much cleaner

Yes Dave, that's an other way to do it. I just needed a smaller scale version if this vessel even has a scale. Maybe 1/35ish.
