Thank you for the kind comments. There's no real secret to cutting out small parts, just patience, a magnifier and a sharp blade

I should have more pictures to upload tonight.

Thank you, it's really nice to receive a compliment from the designer, whose dedication and skill to create such a great model and make it available for free is really appreciated.

I'm enjoying watching your work with the X-wing, it should make a great model to compliment this one

I've finally got some more photos to share

These show the completion of the details on the solar panels and attaching them to the main body. Some of the small details shown in photos 134 and 135 go on the tips of the panels so I've decided to attach them at the end so I don't break them.

I just have some work around where the panels connect and the front window to do and it's finished, phew!!

I also underestimated the size, what a fantastic job of building, especially at this scale!

Thank you for the kind comments, yes it's not very big and has been quite a challenge but I'm glad to say it's FINISHED!

I'll post the final build pictures on this post and then do a separate one for the finished images. This model has been a lesson in edge-glueing and dealing with small fiddly pieces (lots of them!).

This final set of build photos shows the parts round the centre column and the front window which was one of those 'edge-glueing small fiddly' parts I just mentioned

Finished!

Here's the final images, it took a while but I got there in the end

For those who are interested, the model is 5 inches wide and 3.5 inches high, not very big.

Thank you to everyone who has commented, I hope you enjoyed watching the build and a special thank you to Uhu02 for an exceptional model.
