Glue, fill, sand, glue fill, sand..repeat...not much progress but moving ahead at least slowly. This has been the most dificult part of the job believe it or not. If I were to do this again I think I'd attach the roof to the upper hull before trying to fit to the frame.
And I still have the upper/lower hull join to tidy..The Song Remains The Same. |

What a great model! Both of you! I love the finish you sprayed on it. What is it?

If it's mine you're asking about it's Tamiya Aluminium XF-16. Initially I hit the parts with grey primer, then used spray putty to cover the worst of the joins and finally the Tamiya paint. Masking this for respraying is going to be nightmare....

mine is just silver paper. thank you! I have found that each build requires a redesign tho. and im thinking about using sheet foam, bendy, to make a 12'' wide j2, partial interior cockpit.

The spray putty I picked up from an automart place, you know the ones that sell batteries, car parts, paint etc. It was AU $11 and looks like a soft version of spray primer. Easy to sand and goes on fairly thick. Great stuff. The other putty I am using is just plastic model putty, about AU $7 a tube.
