Star Trek XI Spacedock

I'm thinking about making a model of this, but I have limited experience with designing paper models. The thing is i don't know if it is even possible to make it hold together. Any thoughts?

I've got alot of the alternate reality ships so it would be fitting to have the dock too

yup thats mine....please don't post direct links to my models like that.
It says right on my site not to.

And if you found the model anywhere else, please let me know (privately) where.

The Spacedock was intended as a display base for one of Rawen's little Enterprise models.
Its quite simple in its design.
But its a pain in the butt to cut out and assemble.

It requires the use of some clear plastic...templates are provided to cut the two
vertical supports. Without these, the model will not work.
And the side structure is flimsy...you need to layer it with thicker card...or else
it starts to lose its shape.

If you planned on housing a different craft, you would need to modify the cutout in the
plastic supports to fit the alternate spacecraft.

Not a great model, but...its the only Spacedock model there is, so far.
Maybe its a good starting point for a redesign?

It's an awesome model! I'm sorry i posted that link, I tend to visit alot of papermodeling sites and i've never seen a simmilar policy (or i didnt pay attention at those times aswell). Please forgive me :(

I cant seem to be able to edit the post, so I reported it and i hope it is removed

Also this is the picture that is suppoed to be in the OP, but got corrupted (some people just want to watch the world burn), on imgur this time:

For some reason I cannot edit that post aswell, these forums just don't want to make my life easy, eh?

The link in your first post was a hot link to ex-astris-scientia. They don't allow that so block it. Been that way for years.
