I guess I wasn't done. In looking at photos of the "real" USS Kelvin, I noticed there is a raised structure on top of the Engineering Hull. No idea what it is, but it has what looks like two inlets in the front, so I decided to add it to the model.
I printed out the page with the Enginnering Section and glued some of the pieces together, flat, and made a three-ply lamination to thicken the piece. Then I cut out the piece, cut two insets in the front and colored the edges. After curving the piece to fit the hull, I glued it on. Not a big change, but it adds a nice little detail. Now to figure out if there are details to be added to the warp nacelle.... |

This is one of the GREAT things that I like so much about paper model building. If you want to add extra detail, it is easy to do and it does not cost an arm or a leg. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Finished my version of USS Kelvin
I finally got my Kelvin finished. It's taken me a few months but I think it is my best work yet. I added more accurate shuttle bay doors, fantail, pylons, bridge, bussard collector. An internal structure for the nacelle. Inter-coolers that stick out from the nacelle. The bussard collector looks more like the resin detail set for the plastic model. I had fun rebuilding parts. But, like dhanners said I wish there was a stand for it.
