Great video, good to see the build 'close up' - also good to actually see the a face to the name of the builder

Looking real good. It will be a home run once the shadow box is completed. Thanks for sharing the build and the video.

Good day all.
Worked most of this week on building the shadowbox for the diorama.
I used black foam board for the walls. It is light and easy to work with.
The walls are 10" deep to clear the dock and leave room for the lighting.

With the basic surround built the Dock was then reinstalled onto the backplane.
Now onto the lighting.
Originally built 2 light box projectors out of foam board and partially lined them with white card. Into this was installed a strip of warm white LED tape. One under the dock to light the ship and the inside of the dock and the second, with a director shield, to light just the Earth sphere and not the rest of the background.

What I found was that it needed more light to the front. It was too dark.
A third light projector was built. This time with a slot iris to limit the light just to the front of the dock, and mounted it to the side wall, angled to face the dock.

This worked out a lot better.

Here are some more shots around the Dock and the Refit.

Still have to install the power panel on the side and finish the wiring, as well install a frame around the out side. Should have this finished by the end of next week.

I also shot an update video.

Thank you for following.
Questions and comments welcome.

Thank you Vermin King.
It is nice to use. Just cut off what you require ( in lots of three ). It's preresitered and works with 9 - 12V DC.

Fine work!

The finished product looks ready to film!

When's the sequel?
