Actually Roddenberry tried very hard to maintain continuity. There were lapses, for certain, but he even hired people to look for inconsistencies. The reality of TV [especially in the 60'] made this difficult as all TV was viewed as episodic product. In fairness to him, he tried hard and was proud of the consistency he was able to manage. he believed it an essential ingredient toward suspension of disbelief. Others did not share the priority. other still do not presently see any value even within the same storyline. Ah, Rome was a nice place to visit... ‘Gothing’ about, The DC

I'm very forgiving about inconsistencies in sci-fi. Maintaining a universe, especially one as truly *massive* as Star Trek, is a very daunting task! I'm not surprised there are so many inconsistencies and outright contradictions (remember in the first season of TNG when they said beaming at warp was simply not possible? Then what happened: in BoBW they beamed off the Enterprise onto a Borg ship at warp).
But back to the model . . . Anyone else besides me find it funny that a mere scout ship in the Klingon Empire has *eight* disruptors *and* a torpedo launcher! Lol! :D |

Maybe the Ferengi stole that ship and modified it to be more appealing, the "Lobes" never lie, Rule of Acquisition # 98.221.
I think it is a great model and the Shuttle Bay is just plain excellent! |

There are some nice Klingon designs for ENT, but I can tell you for sure this "scout ship" is non-canon. Very fitting design though, certainly looks like it could be canon (unlike some other fan designs I've seen).

yep...and the new movie killed off whatever vestiges may have survived over the decades.
One of the things I really enjoyed about William Shatner's first Star Trek Trilogy (ashes of Eden, The Return and Avenger) was the way that he wove in threads from the original and follow-on series, fan fiction and the movies in a manner consistent with the Star Trek (or his perception of it and he WAS there!!) universe.
