Great work!
When working with models from the 70's, the fidelity was less important than now.
Why the UFO's didn't send a full squadron of ship instead of just one?
Why the didn't destroy the only Space Indruder Detector?
Why the Skydiver was allways near the UFO's admosferic entry point?
So the size and small details like que guns configurations wheren't important.
It's like the Eagle from 1999, it has been demostrated that the external models with people near are smaller that the internal layout of the ship
Anyway, very good work and keep going! I loved the series too!

Yes, you could 'rip apart ' these shows on details, but it proves how entertaining they were that you didn't think of, or bother about, them at the time.

Thank you for your comments Draco You are exactly right! It was the overall thing that appealed. The cars with the gull-wing doors, the women with purple hair, a satellite with the ability to speak directly to Moon Base, and so on. Plus the great music too! It was like a music video at the intro.

Thanks again for your feedback Sir!

I totally agree with you! It was just so different at the time. It was all new! If I was a billionaire I would gather together all the actors that fit best with the original's like Straker, and so on. They would need to be carefully selected.

Neal McDonough looks like he would make a good Straker. He has the blue eyes and that similar mannerism. What do you think?

Maybe Mads Mikkelsen for Vladek Sheyball would work?

Here's Vladek Sheyball again:

Keep the vehicles close to the originals. Avoid the MK II and so on... Use all the latest tech for all the equipment. Probably some new really cool cars with real working gull-wing doors Do a real re-boot of the Series to match today!

I don't know, I love what they did with BSG, they took the old series and converted it in a continuation/remake that was the same while keeping with the times at the same time.
Can you imagine a fleet of space interceptors, submarine stealth planes and tactical assault soldiers?

Good call on the actors. Updates are always tricky, I have to say I'm not too struck by the the Thunderbird craft in the CGI Thunderbirds series - they are too practical (TB1) having cockpit windows for example. I had the same problem with the CGI Captain Scarlet series before it. I guess I don't want to see the vehicles I grew up with altered - they were a big part of my childhood.

Yeah, that would be awesome! I loved BSG, Space 1999, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Stingray, and so on. They fueled the imagination!

Yes, I totally agree with you! The skill with creating a re-boot with one of these is to be exact to the original because all the followers will otherwise rip it apart... I know I would LOL Things like the old TV monitors and references to dates gone by already are the things I would be things of fixing in a re-boot - like the references to the year 1980. Too much CGI tends to "blind" the audience in some ways. If it gets too crazy with the action, the brain seems to switch off because it doesn't accept it as reality any longer.

U.F.O. Interceptor - Build Thread

More of the Interceptor's fuselage and rocket engines construction details.

I had to point the body upwards to allow the glue to run into the joints. It was also easier to work around the entire body without damaging anything.
