Well, a pressure-sensitive pad would fit the sci-fi theme, but the model actually has a trigger. I just haven't posted the pics because of technical difficulties.

The second part of the trigger.

The second trigger part doesn't change the look of the gun. It's just there for additional support. That makes sense since anybody holding the gun will probably try to pull the trigger.

Ah, I figured it out. I couldn't upload the build photos because the file size was too large. I cropped the photos a bit and then I was able to upload them.
