I'm a fan of the show, and I remember reading somewhere that the first Red Dwarf was built around an astroid and the second one was the Jupiter mining corporations first design which was twice as large as the first one it was to be big enough to have a bay that would latch on to an astroid bring it in and then mine its resources but it would cost alot more to build so they scaled back the design to where they would build the ship around the astriod, but when kryten nanite repairbots were ordered to rebuild the Red Dwarf, they found in memory storage the original blueprints and so they built the second Red Dwarf from those, hince the two diffrent Red Dwarf's

Kryten's head would make a perfectly good paper model...

I saw that he liked my idea to do the The Wildfire (Ace Rimmer's jump ship). He has gotten a schematic of it done but does not plan to do any more work on it in the near future. Too bad.

There is a Red Dwarf paper model thread over at the Replica Prop Forum-
Red Dwarf Papercraft (Pep) props
Currently they are working on a full Kryten, mark 1 bazookoid, lightbee, and a scutter.

Kryten head for download here-
Cut Score Fold And Glue: Papercraft Release! Kryten Head from Red Dwarf! Its not as nice as the project cutter one, but I'm beginning to doubt he is releasing them.
