Paragon's Vulcan Line

Well, the DSRV got me started, so I'm on to the next one now. She's almost done, but I figured I'd post a teaser and see who could identify it first.

Hopefully I'll have her built tomorrow.

Wow, that was fast, first guess. What gave it away, the yellow shape on the warp ring?

You know, I also just remembered, the main Andorian in the show was Shran. What's with the nearly identical names?

Talking

Paragon;"You know, I also just remembered, the main Andorian in the show was Shran. What's with the nearly identical names?"

A similar situation between the birthplace of Spock & the Andorian hand weapon of choice.

Only so many words possible...so many people making them up...

Yeah, but the Vulcans and Andorians were mortal enemies for awhile there.

the name was Shran not Sh´Ran (sha-ran):D

Anyway! I´m a little bit confused about the warp ring, because the blue plasma exhaust is also a circle and not a straight stripe!

Looking forward to that

Paragon;"Yeah, but the Vulcans and Andorians were mortal enemies for awhile there."

Ah, true, but recall thast that was in the Berman-alternate timeline of STE!

Trying to make sense of post Roddenberry Trek is like trying to fit cheese in an acorn...

...it may be possible, but what's the point!

Alright, photo time!

I included shots of it with other ships for scale reference (note though, that the DSRV is NOT to scale with it). I hope that also helps you undertsand the warp coil construction. I haven't decided if I'm pleased with it or not, but I know trying to put a thin circle on a ring like that is going to be near impossible.

I also included a photo of the marker I use for edge coloring, a Prismacolor "Tuscan Red" marker. As you can see, it matches the ship's texture very well.
