Steam/Techno Punk Zeppelin

A number of months ago I collaborated with a couple of Russian friends from VK to develop this 1/700 scale Zeppelin cruise liner - the Prince of Tirrey.
Denis Tw originated the concept and background story, Yakov Panov designed the white model, and I textured the white model utilizing Photoshop. Yakov and I partnered on the development of the cover art for the model, with conceptual input from Denis. Yakov is in the process of creating a mooring mast base for the model. The display base you see in the photos is my own creation. It doesn't quite match up with the concept that Denis had in mind, but I think it's attractive, nonetheless.

It was a fairly challenging build with lots of small pieces and several subassemblies to be joined together straight and true, but Yakov did a wonderful job with the design, and all the parts fit together perfectly. This was a difficult model for me to photograph, and the pictures don't really do it justice. It's much more attractive in person.

Dear Don:
Way cool, I think that the gas bags three times fatter to give more boost to the gondola, though may be that universe has a lighter gas
Enjoyed the project,
Miles

Thank you for your kind comments, gents. For me, the part of the build that was drudgery was installing all the little benches around the perimeter of the main deck and on the raised bandstand area. Otherwise, I really enjoyed assembling this fantasy airship.
