Solanka town square is ready with the additional set of stalls filling the marketplace.
Now only the section of the city wall with a gate is to be added...

These are fantastic and that city has a great 'lived-in' feel. How did you make the fruit, bowls and jars?

Well, the fruits and jars are not paper...
I used a light and dark green styrofoam balls (ready for scrapbooking), red small glass beds painted matt red, only the green onion is made of a small rectangle of dark green paper, cut from one side like a comb and rolled. The small jars were made of the toothpicks with elaborate ends resembling the railing posts turned on a lathe, the big ones are made of a modelling paste. The rolls of fabric are rolled of paper with the scissors simple sketched by hand with a thin black marker.

In the meantime, the mosque for the shah palace diorama has been finished. This time there is more gold on the roof and dome, for which I used very thin golden paper for origami, layered with 170 g per sqm cardboard. All the visible edges of the roof & dome were painted with a golden oil marker.

The shah palace is ready.
It is made after the Aladdin (Ali ad-Din) palace model, based loosely on Taj Mahal and on some big mosque like Hagia Sophia, so the architectural details are sometimes not proper. The building was scaled down due to its dimension. The tips of the four minarets as well as the top part of the dome was made of origami gold paper. The original pattern on the sides of the dome was replaced with a Japanese pattern in blue.

I am not sure, as I have been collecting every possible paper models available on the Internet for years. These nets were scanned by someone from the set of old prints, yellowed with age, with comments in some Scandinavian language (Danish or Norwegian). They look pretty old. They were shared by Papermau once, maybe still available. Thanks a lot!
