DnD dioramas

I was asked by my (now adult) children, my son-in-law and my nephew if I can can play a role of a game master (called a Dungeon Master, DM) in the role playing game (rpg) based on a Dungeons and Dragons 5.0 engine. It leaded me to preparing few dioramas showing the locations. Some of them are in a general plans in scale near to 1/4000...1/5000 and some are the detailed dioramas of particular locations in 1/72, which are needed to perform tasks of seeking for something or to fight battles against hostile non-playing characters (npc). I used mostly ready generic easy buildings from the Internet, modyfying the original designs or adding few details but all are made as a cardboard models. Unlike my 1/300 miniature buildings, I didn't make time-consuming upgrading, weathering etc. of 1/72 buildings, except few which were necessary for my purpose, leaving the models as simple and generic as possible.

He’s got very well done 2.5D monsters and characters in 1/60?, some are even customizable pdfs and should be downscalable to 1/72 (note I didn’t say easy as the parts can get too small).

And as a bonus, if you wanted to do the same for Nekomura, Eddnic’s got an Asian inspired monster set and various singles mixed in with other sets like the tengu and kappa. If you do this I’d like to see how you build the wanyudo, happy gaming!

Yes, I prefer something quick; as for monsters, my first campaign wouldn't go that far, my players will encounter a bad prince who will turn out to be a good prince blackmailed by the much worse man who kidnapped his wife and daughter, so the only fantastic creature I needed was a drowner ("was", because my witty players ripped him to shreds in the very first session).

As for the scale, I chose 1/72 because of two reasons. First, I have hundreds of historical and fantasy figures in this scale because I collected them for many years. And the second, it allowed me to make smaller game board, representing the standard 25 feet squares with 1,5 by 1,5 cm checkered sheet instead of 2,5 by 2,5 (inch by inch), and consequently making all the buildings smaller, so the A4 or A3 sheet could be enough for a single battle.

I thought of making for Nekomura a Godzilla or a similar creature as big as multi-storey house, so thanks for info!

Well Andrew, I have suggestions for Nekomura as well - you've probably seen the 20+ page Godzilla and friends from the Epson print terrace papercraft series but those have higher part counts. There's also a fairly new but complex Gamera on the Pepakura website.

If you're not picky about the monster franchise, here're 3 that should work well enough:

For 1:72 you can find online some 20mm scale figures for someone to 3D print.

I'm using Joan of Arc: Time of Legend which is 15mm or 1:100 scale and it has everything for 5e gaming.
