Very nearly done, only the rear gun, harpoon and flaps left to build. I've shown it here with my new flying base (available in the download section, under Aviation), and the 'hover' gear that allows it to rest on the top of the flying column.

Superb model; without a doubt the best paper model I've had the pleasure of assembling, quite possibly the best model I've every built. The guns will be a treat I'm sure, as there are very tiny rolls for the barrels.

Good clean shot of the engine and fins

On its flying base:

Shot 3

On the tarmac:

Enjoy!

cactilio-x, the underside is untextured (really the only complaint I have with the model), so there's not much to show. Once I have the flaps assembled, I'll post pictures of it for you though.

Hawkman, I'm glad you like the base! I designed one for my snowspeeder long ago, and have never been happy with the way it comes apart (I have three of the bloody things). The new design is more naturally robust, although I've not tested it on larger models. It does seem to take a fair bit of angle before tipping, which is a positive!

Build (as designed) is now complete!

I hope within a few weeks to have the rebel pilots for it added, but my muse is terribly fickle. I will post here once I have designs in print. For now, enjoy some shots of the beaut:

As requested, a shot of the undercarriage (don't mind the hover-gear which is not part of the original model): LINK

Really great looking snowspeeder!! I always like to see your builds as they help me on mine, Not quite as good looking as yours of course. How are the ARC pilots coming??

1:20 is a great scale as it is nearly exactly on size with the 3.5" toys.

The ARC pilot is just waiting for me to complete textures on the armour panels and the helmet, and then he's done (see the attached render).

Just playing around with my flying base after touchups (not too many thanks to the design of most of the panels). Here are some shots with the WotC AT-AT, which is very very close to 1:50 (a tad too small, maybe near 1:55 or so). Don't mind the canopy, it is not glued yet, awaiting a gunner to be fastened in place.

That Dio is very Awsome!!:D models always look so much better when they are displayed in their natural environs. At least to me any ways. Lends a sense of scale and the Wow! factor too. The Pilot is really looking good Sean; i am so waiting for him to use in my LAAT/I's i like the other troopers you made up , but these really are a lot better looking, posable and such.
