Lens Head by Shunichi Makino
As Covid-19 reduced my work week to three and then two days a week, I suddenly had enough free time to return to paper craft. I decided my first model would be Lens Head, an original robot design by Shunichi Makino, with posable arms, head and torso.
I'm really happy with how it came out. The design is impressive in its accuracy - creating working paper pivots isn't trivial, although I had to make a couple of cylinders a bit thicker to add some friction. But for the most part everything came together perfectly. The instructions were brief but clear enough and had just enough detail to prevent a builder from making any critical mistakes in the build process. If there's one drawback to the design it's that the weathering on the texture resembles glue stains... Source: 無題ドã‚*ュメント |

It was spectacular! Excellent work. I built many of his Deformecraft, the articulation system was always perfect. A great designer.

You did a great job on this Lenshead Robot. I am looking forward to seeing you build the rest.
Several years ago, I build all four of them. I should rebuild them again.
