Where do keep your models while you are at college? I've had some success using the default book case that comes with the dorm but it is getting rather crowded

I mostly put them in boxes actually. I only take some of them with, of course.

Hi Paragon,

just a small question: what happened to the century series? I hope startrek and college did not kill that promise all together....

Finally, some progress to show! I've officially completed construction of the Alpha section. Beta and Gamma are both printed and ready to build.

Think you can tell which one it is?

Here are some more detailed shots:

As you can see, I not only created what I like to think of as a clean texture, I made some additions for construction, including making the Alpha section deflector inset, as well as the few window coves. I also fixed the bridge deck shape, brought out the two large panels on the sides of the saucer, and probably my favorite detail: I designed small warp nacelles that fit quite nicely into both the top and bottom alcoves. Unfortunately, they do not fold out (I'm not a magician).

You may also notice the two holes in the bottom; those don't come on the plans, they're just planning for the ability to dock with the Beta section.

I didn't design a mechanism to make them moveable, seemed too difficult. Feel free to try though.

I'd be willing to make a movable warp nacelle. Seems to me all you'd have to do is insert a vertical upside-down-T-shaped pylon in a slit in the hull, then glue the nacelle on top of it.

The trouble is extracting the nacelle from its berth when you do.
