Star Wars Y Wing Construction Report
Well to inaugurate me in the forum I will post the report of construction of a model of Y Wing in the scale 1/72 that I did. The objective was to do a model with an appearance the more possible realist, using besides the model in paper material of low cost as scraps of cables IDE and ethrnet, wire, raft wood, lolipop toothpicks, icecream toothpicks, needles and pins. Besides I printed the model twice in different thickness to take out panels and mechanisms and the texturize in 3D.
In spite of already to have posted in other places this is the first international forum that position a good part of the construction process that was long more or less three months. The model I download of here: http://www.swpm.ic.cz/ Although the textures and the general level of the model are very good and come from the excellent add ons for the game X Wing Alliance, the paper model has some small adjustment problems and a total absence of fitting in the wings and naceles. Pictures of the process: A picture of the original model of studio done for the movie Star Wars IV and an image of the model that I chose in the software Pepakura Designer, the main problem of the paper model as representation of that subject in matter is the loss of details and mechanisms that are plated in the texture. One of the objectives of the project is to represent that... The construction of the head of the ship, these techniques were used in the construction of whole the model, notice that the panels that are salient need to be cut one to a... |

This is terrific, but I'd love to see pictures of the 1/100 Douglas O-35. Are they posted anywhere? If not, could we see them, please?
