Here is another update... I´ve finished the patchwork on the hull, smoothed it a little, added another top to the part where the engine room is supposed to be. Ok-look for yourself:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I´m really sorry for the big pics, i´m new and don´t understand how to add thumbnails...

That was a gigantic patchwork to do, i had to fit in every single piece of paper and cut it a number of times, so that it would fit... but now this is over and i´m looking forward to the really nice part: the Painting... :D

looks very good how well would this work if it were enlarged for the bigger birds like maybe the K'Vort class from the TNG?

I´m planning to first paint everything green, exept the lower side of the wings, which is red, and then add the texture-structures in black... afterwards i´ll do smaller structures like windows or lights...
i can´t use ready textures, i don´t have a color printer and it would be very hard to fit them on the round parts anyway... i´ll post updates, when i´m ready with the wings...

I´m sure it would get much better, because you could work much finer and there wouldn´t be so much distortions on the hull like you see them on my ship... But i guess you would have to do also a more detailed inner structure to form the outer hull... in any way it would be possible to make it MUCH more accurate. Are you planning to build the model?-if you´re interested i´ll make a building plan and post a new mastersheet of corrected parts...

Vorcha,
a Question about your formers
the edges looked frayed, do you cut them out a little large and then sand them to the correct finished size?
or are you doing something else.
