Czesci Millenium Falcon

Ever since reviewing CausticPhlegm's excellent but ill-fated build of this ship over on zealot
Build thread: Millenium Falcon - Zealot Hobby Forum
Ive been planning on doing a build of this model. Well I've finally gotten started.

Scale?

Just curious - given the plethura of MF kits I'm interested in how it compares size-wise.

Why? Because *size matters* :p

Well as i understand it the default size of the pdfs is huge paperwise. Printed on fit to page on US LTR it looks like it will be maybe 25% larger than Shunichi's

It's going to be interesting!

Can you tell where is this model coming from, please?

Lookin like a good start SideWinder. I too was inspired by that same thread. For a couple years I've been thinking about buying that ultimate lego MF kit, but at $650 I just can't seem to bring myself to actually buy it. I keep thinking maybe if I build this, then I'll have a nice model of the MF and I'll "get over" wanting the lego one. Don't know if it would work that way, but it's a good theory.

Looking forward to watching your progress.

Steve

here's my problem: I'm now at the phase in my cardmodeling that if the raised detail is printed on the model, I have to print a second to cut out the surface detail and mount it on the first (pictures of my latest insanity to come soon in another thread).

Who said insanity can't be *fun*... that's some nice work, Sidewinder (is that the snake or the missile?)

Nice one. I checked the link on the other build and that was just sad. Looks like some very small and detailed areas to contend with on this one mate. I will be following this with a lot of interest.

Many thanks for sharing this and the link.

Cheers
Jim
