Marco,
The pictures look great! you seem to be a much quicker modeller than me !

I left off the top spire on the Cathedral till the end, it seemed to be safer, because I was afraid of knocking it off as I added the other parts to the base.

I have been quite busy lately so haven't looked for photos. The model will be taken to the Museum o Childhood on Thursday along with about 40 others for a three month exhibition. I'll try to take a few photos while I'm there.

Cheers
Mike

I don't think I'm a quick modeler per se, I think it's more an indication of the lack of nighttime activity in Lagos... (In fact, there is plenty, but not exactly safe).
Here are the flying buttresses, and the cathedral is finished. There's much more to follow!

Block E - Cathedral base

The model is built up in different blocks. This is block E, the simplest of the different blocks, and forms the base of the cathedral. The parts that form the cathedral square have been strengthened with 1mm cardboard.

This is a beautiful job on a beautiful model. I have it and was thinking of building it to display in The National Czech and Slovak Museum in Cedar
Rapids. It would have been gone with the flood however. Something for
you to think about though if you need a place to put this large model.

Getting a model this big out of Nigeria is going to be quite a task. I was thinking of getting in touch with the Czech consulate in Lagos when my time here is up to find a good destination for it.
