I guess if you really wanted to you can google height of certain part of the build or diameter or similar dimension and then measure the actual model and do the math. I may do it on this build just to see if it is possible. Assuming of course that entire model is designed correctly. As far as "free" is concern I believe if you could somehow figure how much ink you burned in printing, paper cost, electricity, web use, property taxes, mortgage, position of the sun I believe that it still be a very inexpensive model. And let's not even take into account how many hundreds of dollars (euros, pounds, whathaveyou) we all spent on tools and supplies lol!

Well, here is completed model. This one doesn't come with stand plate so I'll have to make one so it will display nicer. Maybe even put some fake grass and bushes to add a little extra candy. I know it isn't a perfection many modelers are producing here but I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Vermin - I think it took me around 50 hours or so. I printed the Agra Fort for next project but I have been toying with another idea. I received the paper clock kit but the reviews state that they don't work very well since they are made of paper. I'm thinking of using the paper pattern to transfer the work into balsa wood. Should be sturdier and yet easy enough to cut and glue. Maybe I'm reaching for the stars but we'll see.

That may not be a bad idea. When I started in this hobby, I accidently stumbled onto a paper model of something I was needing to do for a stage prop. My original intention was to have a picture (well a coloring page), print on overhead projector transparency, project onto cardboard, etc. What I'm getting at is that many of these projects convert well to other media, like the can art. Silveroxide's galleon is another example of the paper kit being used to create a hybrid model. Tommygun converts models to plasticard for wargaming. Your idea is worth a shot.

Vermin - that's exactly what the stagecraft class does at our school. I think is also the only class that has any use for overhead projector these days. I must say I'm excited about playing with balsa. Work for over 15 years in hardwood flooring industry yet never did anything with balsa. I think since it's really wood, I'll use yellow TideBond glue. I used to swear by it back in my flooring days.
