Cardmodelers meeting Mannheim/Germany

Hello,
From 27. to 30. December 2012 there was a Cardmodelers meeting at the Technoseum (technical museum) in Mannheim/Germany. I made a video which you can see here: Mannheim1 - YouTube part 1. More will follow soon. If you want to look at a model for longer time, press the stop button.
The theme was architecture, that's why I'm posting it also here.

Thanks again for publishing all three videos. There are some amazing models - more architectural models than at the Internation Paper Modelers Convention in the US in which I have participated the past several years.

I am curious about the number of ship and building models with people figures. Are these figures made out of paper? If so, they are remarkable. I noted one fellow with a red tie.

Another question - On first few minutes of the third video, there is a cathedral model - the one with only the left tower ...after the Vienna cathedral. I believe that to be Strasbourg in France which we have visited. I have never seen a paper model of it except the Instant Durable postcard model which I have made. Does anyone have more infor about this model? I have done a google search without any luck. I sure would like to have it. Help!

LIKE, LIKE, LIKE!

Thank you for posting the videos!

I always liked the idea of setting up a building table in the European paper events. I'm planning to put a paper modeling table on the next IPMS event, not sure if I have to pay for the table, even if I don't sell anything. We'll see.

Thanks Gunter.

Is this an exhibition open to visitors - I didn't see many people - except all the railway figures. It always surprises me how many different figures there are available in Germany!

Is this an annual show - If so could you please pass on a note to the forum some time before the next one?

I'll be in Mannheim later this year for a tour, which will include Sinsheim.

Cheers
Mike
