A few more additions ...

Card 4 ... Schulhaus ..... Schoolhouse

Card 5a ... Mauerturmchen ... I think it's a tower for use with later Wall parts.

Card 5b ... Gildenhaus ... My guess is a Guild House (Medieval Union Offices?).

Only 31 more cards to go on this one.

As you can see, I found some cobblestones, and some grass.

Keep on snippin' .... Johnny.

Grass and cobblestones are pretty neat.
Playing in Google found out, you got it, guild hall, dict.cc dictionary :: Gildenhaus :: German-English translation

Card 6 ... Grosser Torturm ... Large Gate Tower?

Card 7a ... Minttlerer Torturm ... Middle size Gate Tower?

Card 7b ... Fachwerkhaus ... Wood framed house?

Not too good a focus on that pic. Took it in daylight, so no flash.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Aww, don't worry abut it, we're happy to see what ya got anyway
Looks like you have the id terminology figured out, or at least your take in ot makes sense to me! Plugging Torturm in to Google image search got half a gazillion gate towers so that has to be it. Fachwerk seems to be associated with half timbered buildings in model RR plastic model catalogs, so that's gotta be right.

Hey, just found this, yep, that's fachwerk! (not sure I'd be up to reproducing that pic in paper, ya know!) http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fachwerk.jpg

More trivia just because it was fun to go looking:
Quote:
German tradition (Fachwerkhäuser)
Germany has several styles of timber framing, but probably the greatest number of half-timbered buildings in the world are to be found in Germany and in Alsace (France). There are many small towns which escaped both war damage and modernisation and consist mainly, or even entirely, of half-timbered houses.

The German Timber-Frame Road connects towns with remarkable fachwerk. It crosses Germany with sections in Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Hesse, Thuringia, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg.[12][36]
Quote:
German fachwerk building styles are extremely varied with a huge number of carpentry techniques which are highly regionalised. German planning laws for the preservation of buildings and regional architecture preservation dictate that a half-timbered house must be authentic to regional or even city-specific designs before being accepted.[37][38]

Card 8a ... Fachwerkhaus mit Arkaden ... Wood frame house with Arcade.
There's a covered courtyard inside the arch.

Card 8b ... Kleiner Turturm ... Little Gate Tower.
I wonder just how many gates this village is gonna have?

Keep on snippin' .... Johnny.

Those kinds of things sure sound neat. And would be interesting to know if it would offer any relief from

Certainly be useful here SWF. We get more'n our share of rain up here in the Welsh mountains. We get so much that 90% of it is piped into England to feed Manchester and Birmingham. I mostly sit in my conservatory for snippin' or reading, but a covered yard like that would be great for workin' on my old cars. Mind you, I don't think the wood framed idea would last too long during our winter winds. I recorded 210 mph last February.

Johnny.

Whoa Here in middle of Missouri we would only get that in a tornado!
Thought just popped in that this region did have a fair number of immigrants from Germany settle here. While half timbered construction is scarce, there can be seen Germanic style influence in some older rooflines.

I see you also have the "Medieval Town" on offer too Diderick.

I'm resisting, I'm resisting. Nah, it's just too big a footprint ... and don't even suggest shrinking it to 1:400 like Marco has. My old eyes and fingers are having enough trouble with this one at 1:300.

Johnny.
