Matsuyama Castle - Canon

I had this model already printed and was on the to build list, and before starting the build thread, I started building the model to see if it was difficult to deal with the small pieces, and it is being surprisingly easy to assemble them. So far I've built the foundation for the castle structures, the 1st and the 2nd castle structures and I'm finishing the 3rd one, and definetely I'm having way less stress on building this model than China's Temple of Heaven, mainly because I haven't any fit issues so far... Looking foward to share the completed model, and will keep you updated on the progress.

Good start. I only have the base built - started during UKs Lockdown. I'll have to get back to it.

After 3 days, I finished the main castle foundation, all of its structures and glued them to the main base pieces. Now I'm going to build the base support pieces, the last entrance on the model and finally the name plate. Will post soon the final result, so keep an eye on it.

After gluing the last 2 structures to the base and the name plate in the front, the model is completed... I highly recommend the building of this model for anyone who likes castles in general because although it may look difficult, it isn't, you just have to build the parts slowly and follow the gluing order carefully. See you in the next build thread.

That turned out very nice. Canon has a lot of nice looking Japanese castle models.

Your comment is, I think, most people’s experience with Canon models. The castle looks great and will be a nice addition to your collection.
