Section B is now complete with over 200 parts and about two weeks work. I tried using a bit of landscape paper, unfortunately it wouldn't lay flat so the buildings look a bit ragged - well that's my excuse ;-)
The part made wall will eventually join the buildings from section A. The position of the parts takes a little time to work out and to make things easier I'm numbering the bigger parts. Cheers Mike |

Didn't realize how small it till you placed your hand around it. Great build.

The scale is about1:144 which is about "N" gauge. I calculated this by measuring the doors an average of about half an inch. Most of the castles and cathedrals I have made are 1:300

Another "file" is now complete. This one has been a little more complicated. Mainly because there are a couple of interiors. One is the tunnel with a moving portcullis the second is the store room of the Tavern. Without instructions I had to work out the order of construction. Unfortunately I got it a bit wrong so I had fun adding some of the parts.
The first picture is just one of the roofs. There are five pieces just for the roof and about 20 parts to make the windows and chimneys. Because of Greg's question I added a credit card sized card to the buildings in the last picture. Cheers Mike |

Mike, sorry I haven't responded for a long time. I love your little village and will read more about it. I hope you're doing all right. Stay well and stay safe.

I have this one staring at me on the shelf. It has been there for 5 years! I keep thinking about doing it, but the size is always an issue. Maybe I'll give a couple of buildings a try at half scale. Good luck!

There's not too much to say, except here is "file" E. This time R.V. introduces a tunnel between the buildings and another on the top floor.
Closeup photos always show up any problems, this time it's only a lack of paint on a couple of folds - I've included the picture and will look a little closer next time ;-) One of the closeups makes an "interesting" background for my Skype "page" I've taken a rest from the town and made a couple of animals for a friend. It won't be long till I start on file F Cheers Mike |

File F is now complete.
At first glance it doesn't look like much work was needed - there are only two small buildings and one even smaller. But look a little closer and all the details can be seen. Almost all the windows are add ons, some just glued to the wall but others are recessed. There are also more dormer windows than usual - but bigger than my previous "Dormer fest" This time I have added a picture of the whole base. Remember -I started this in mid February and it looks as if I'm about halfway through. The next file is the Town Hall and has four pages of parts - about twice as many as the previous files, so it could be some time before I write again. Cheers Mike |
