File "L" is now almost complete - I noted a few unpainted corners !!!

The more files I make and add them to the base, the more impressed I am by the fit of the parts. I was expecting to find the buildings not quite fitting the base lines but they are still just right!

You will notice that the walls don't touch the ground - some of the tabs underneath need a bit of folding - well that's my excuse ;-)

Cheers
Mike

Another collection finished. It is the first collection on the final road to the end.

My rest project takes me back a few years. We had a local model shop owned by a gentleman who was better known for the plane kits he designed. The ceiling of his shop was covered big flying models.

I was in his shop looking at plastic kits and I found a collection of Micromodels. I bought a few, made one and returned to plastic - some years later I made a few more and gave up plastic. This time it was one of the City Gates.

They say that you should always go out on a high note. In this case, it's not quite the end but the building below is the most complex of them all.

On the other hand one part of the final "file" has it's own sting in the tail but you will have to wait a while.

As I've mentioned before, I am taking a few days off to make a couple of easy models. Look up "foldplay.com and look for "make your own kaleidocycle". For the other, keep an eye out in the Bird section for a Wren

Cheers
Mike

The final file is now complete. As you will see there are only a few buildings but the cemetery took up most of the time – there are about 80 headstones. I like straight lines and symmetry so it took a lot of effort to keep it random. It’s based on the Old Jewish cemetery in Prague.

The photos revealed a few places that needed touching up. That will be done before these parts are added to the base.

I have also made one grave mistake ( see a separate thread for puns) by looking at MPR III. It looks as if there aren’t too many parts so I may continue - sometime.

More pictures of the whole town will follow. They will represent almost six months work. Although, it has been mainly enjoyable work with a few breaks to make something different.

BTW - Philip, you can relax now ;-)))

Cheers
Mike

The final pictures

The town will be at an exhibition in a few week's time then boxed and stored with my other models.

Thanks for all your comments and I hope that it will encourage others to have a go......

Cheers
Mike
