Building models again
Hello to all my old friends at Papermodelers.
It has been a long time since I last posted. I really haven't made much since my last post of the haunted house in June. This summer I discovered the adult wooden puzzles that appeared every day on Facebook. I had to make three of them- the Ferris wheel , carrousel, and the marble game. I sort of neglected paper models while making them. They are rather challenging but I really prefer my paper models. I hope to rejoin my friends at papermodels. I have just started Burgos Cathedral. I just counted, and I have 122 model kits to make. I had better get on the ball if I want to make them all. I will be 83 in two months and my eye sight, steady hands and back are not what they used to be. One thing that I have been doing since being quarantined since last March, and that is posting on Facebook a model of the week. I have over 100 models made and so each week I put several photos of a model with a brief description and then a link to our visit to the real thing. It has been rather popular and I have a lot of responses. This week was number 42, Meersburg Castle. I put them up on Wednesday afternoon. I welcome any of you who would like to friend me on Facebook – Thomas Clay or maybe you would like to see me post it once a week on paper modelers.. I have checked in on papermodelers from time to time but I'm afraid I did not leave many messages for that I apologize. So I hope we can become friends again and that I can get busy and make all 122 models before I die (I have good genes my father lived to 89 and my mother 94. Cheers to all of you, Thomas |

Hello Tom,
Good to hear from you again in these very uncertain times. Will find you on facebook! Please take great care, and try to go on enjoying paper modelling. Funny coincidence: every few years my wife and I enjoy a spate of puzzle making (laying?). During one of our many holidays in the UK we bought a traditional Wentworth wooden puzzle - paid for it in gold bars, but they are really fantastic! We will have to try one of these modern ones presently! Very best wishes, Diderick A. den Bakker, the Netherlands

Nice to hear from you Thomas. So, you can't keep away from paper models! I look forward to your next "offering"
A tip - I found that by lowering my chair and getting closer to the kits has helped my back ;-) Cheers Mike |

Nice to see you Thomas and read your news.
I dislike the privacy issues surrounding Facebook issues, so don't use it so unfortunately can't join you there!
