That turned out very nice Kevin. I'm looking forward to
the setting you put it in.

To me, that's the representation of "simple does not imply trivial", definitely!
I would like to thank you once more, in addition to the fact that I like that culture, because the thread was like a small class.
I will surely give it a try.

Thank you Ray and hrodgers for the kind words.

asettico - give it a go. You will enjoy it.

Another thing is that Mauthers models are very much - because of his drawing style - like little works of art. This means they often feel to me like little 3d paintings, which I find a lot of fun!

You will see this clearly in the next lot of pictures I upload.

Here are some better photos of the finished model taken today. Still thinking of the jungle setting - to come!

The pictures are all taken (apart from the last two) under natural light - this really helps convey the feel of the model.

Pictures 1 to 5 - General views. As mentioned I really like the "artistic" look of the finished result.

Picture 6 - This clearly shows the cardboard base added. A piece of a cornflake box!

Pictures 7 to 9 - More general pics, including the back of the building - also worth showing.

Pictures 10 and 11 - The last two pictures were taken with a flash - they show the detailed art nicely. The model also stands up well under the harsh light!

It can inspire an interactive fiction story...

That's gorgeous, Kevin. I hadn't realised how small it is until now.

You are right about Mauther's artistic style, it lends to the models.

Thanks all!

Philip - I reduced it by maybe 15-20% as it was too big for me. Not certain by how much I reduced it as I just eye-balled it to an actual size I liked, and felt was not hard enough to build.
