St.-Paulus-Dom 1:300

St-Paulus-Dom is a kit that was produced by Thomas Pleiner and friend. Thomas did a build thread of this model in 2009. The scale is 1:300. Length is 36.3 cm, breadth is 17.7cm and height is 19.2cm.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is located in Munster, Germany and opened in 1225. The architecture is a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic
The kit is straightforward. There are no recessed windows and very few tiny pieces to contend with. You start at the west end and proceed to the east in a very systematic fashion. I did have trouble with the tops of the spires on the towers and since I messed them up pretty badly, I chose the simpler method for the others on the facings. This method is shown on the cover of the kit but Thomas does trim them up better.
Other than the tops, this kit goes together very well.

It's a very nice building.
I really can't see the troubles you got.

Yeah, that's a nice piece - I like the blocky shapes it creates around the east end and the double transept. It's a nice composition of a building and a great model.

Thanks Jeremy,

It is definitely made in "blocks" and goes together well.
