Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Japan - Canon
Always looked at this model with the itch to build it, but the wood structure in the lower part always scared me because of the complexity. But I decided to face it anyways, the great news is that the other structures, they have big pieces so this is a big relief to me, I will attempt to have cleanest final result possible.
I attached the pic of what the final result should be and an photo of the real one. Looking foward to share the progress of the build. Cheers, Gregory |

I was scared with the complexity of this pdf and I never attempted to begin with that model myself...! Good luck and, as the Japanese say: がんばってね! (Ganbatte-ne / Do your best!)

One of my favorite Japanese temples. I visited it many times over the years and look forward to visiting your build as it progresses.
Good luck! Don |

First step it's very straightfoward, I'm building the walls and the floor wich will support the wooden structure, so far I've built the sides and the floor on the right side, next to build is the outside right wall and the floor on the left side.

Now I've added the outside right wall and the floor on the left side. All I need to do in this part is add the remaing piece of the front part, the outer left side wall and the back wall.

Now that the base is done, I will start building the intricate wooden structure that goes on the front. It will go like this:
1. Build the front part of the structure; 2. Build the right side; 3. Build the left side; Cheers, Gregory |

First and second frames of the wooden structure are done. Now I'll build some parts that goes between them.
