The Golden Church
I think this could be the first Bulgarian church to appear in the forum - I did a search for "Bulgaria" but found no threads.
The Golden Church in in Veliki Preslav, which is about 50K from the Black Sea coast. The kit is produced by a publishing house but there is no reference to kits on their sight. I bought this kit and a few others while I was in Varna. The kit is in a scale of 1:100 and printed on very heavy card, so I decided to reduce the kit to 70% and print it on lighter paper. There are a few problems with the fit of the parts but luckily I managed to resolve the problems (almost). The base is now 10 inches by 6. The original is in pieces because the kit is printed on card greater than A4 so I had to rearrange them to fit on A4. The first picture looks as if the church is sitting on bright paper but it is an LED pad. It's used to copy pages by putting the original on the pad and a blank page on top. I have found that it helps a lot when scoring tabs by placing the parts "face down" on the pad. It could also make an interesting base for buildings that can be adapted to light up the inside. Mike.
Well done and a very interesting look for a church. Definitely something special.

That's a very pretty model, Mike. It puts me in mind of something I've been meaning to do since God was a boy, and now I feel spurred on (again).
