Cologne Cathedral - 1:300 - Schreiber Bogen

I haven't built any architectural models for a while, so here goes.
The Cologne Cathedral, designed by Thomas Pleiner for Schreiber Bogen has been around for a while, and for good reason. Beautiful kit, very nicely drawn and coloured, and interesting use of double-sided printing.

JFS 655 Kolner Dom – Kartonmodellbau Online

Lots of open space in the interior structure, but it doesn't affect stability.

These Schreiber cathedrals are really fantastic. They require lots and lots of time but worth every hour spent building them You are doing a fantastic job.

I have this kit in my stash, so this thread will turn out to be very useful one day. The model is looking spectacular already, isn't it?

That's a well made kit.

I made it a few years ago. I don't want to worry you but it gets very "interesting" when you get to the flying buttresses. Lining them up is quite a job!

Good luck
Mike

Thanks! Yes, all the (flying) buttresses look slightly intimidating, but a bit of problem solving is all part of the fun!

Here is the north entrance and the lower parts of the buttresses:

Looking good Marco, and a very interesting model. Good luck with all the buttresses, a lot of repetitive work...
