Micromodel Water Mill
Another self-colour Micromodel publication.
The original idea with this model was to waterproof it and so be used like a real watermill with a turning wheel. Bought some cheap felt-tip pens to colour rather than pencils. Wanted to see the the differences. The model itself built up quite well. Replaced the railings with wood after a mishap cutting the card ones out with a blunt blade To be honest the model has turned out as well as expected. Anyway both this and the windmill have given me a good insight into colouring these models. Festival of Britain next Tim |

Looks good! Did you waterproof it and test functionality with real liquid, or just build it as is, newly colored and go to something new?

Excellent work Tim, on this and the Essex windmill; so much of the period, picturesque, seemingly unchanging England, reassurance after the awfulness of the war.

Definitely like your colors for these. Captures a Vintage feel.
Anxiously awaiting the next one

I like this one too. Plus the wooden railings give a bit 'volumetric' credibility to model. ;-)
Looking forward for the next one. Tappi |
