Neuschwanstein Castle 1/250, Schreiber-Bogen
This was probably one of my favorite models, simply because I enjoyed every moment of it. The trees are pre made from the JTT brand, however I took to them with an airbrush to achieve the autumn leaves.

Beautiful work! Very impressive model and probably one of the most idyllically located castles in the world.

Very nice. You did a great job making the model and painting the trees to look like Autumn. Looks great.

well done - that's a great build.
We visited the castle some time ago. The building is impressive but the "visitor reception" was one of the worst. We bought timed tickets and had to wait in a cattle pen until the guide collected her herd. I think that the guides were given two minutes for each room. Despite all that It is still one of my favourites - it's the wall paper on my computer! Cheers Mike |

I agree, I enjoyed visiting the castle in 2012, that's when I picked up the bow. |

Thank you SCEtoAUX. I was tempted to do it covered in snow, but decided full trees were easier to achive.

I too remember the tour to be quite short, however I was luckily enough to wait in the courtyard rather than a pen... the funny thing about that castle is the rooms that they don't show you aren't completed! I always found it a little sad King Ludwig only spent 12 nights in this castle. |
