A few buildings from the American Wild West
Hi everyone,
Recently one of the members on this forum, Paskal from France, posted several free downloads of wild west buildings in HO scale (1:87). The print texture of each of the buildings is amazingly realistic and the models include all kinds of small and interesting details. Windows, doors and signboards are layered, which provides depth to the models. I downloaded all four of them and decided to build the dry goods store and old town saloon. The others (sheriff's office/jail and church) will have to wait a little longer. The builds are not difficult and don't take up much space. The fit is excellent although for the saloon the windows and windowpanes are not scaled correctly, they are too large. No big deal to correct. The only detail I added myself in both models was providing depth to the foundation of each building, sort of similar to the windows and doors. The main reason why it took a few weeks extra to finalize the Dauntless in January and early February was that starting to build these western houses was simply too tempting . Hope you like the result. First, the dry goods store. Cheers, Erik |

Erik,
Thanks for the information. Two nice buildings up to your high standards. I made Paskal's country restaurant last year. Like the western houses there are lots of details to add to the buildings. His site is Definitely worth a visit. Cheers Mike |

Those are excellent. Could you post a link to Paskal's site? I'm not familiar with it.
